This is an absolutely stunning vintage dress from William Travilla from the 1980's! We are fortunate to have had another one of these dresses that we sold a while back, that doesn't happen very often! This incredible strapless purple velvet dress has a sweetheart bust line and detached sleeves. It's hard to show on the mannequin, but on a person, the sleeves form a point at the top near the shoulders. The dress has a back slit and is such a great piece to add to anyone's wardrobe!

Collectible vintage dress in excellent condition from one of Marilyn Monroe's favorite designers! Marilyn once signed an autograph to Travilla:  "Billy Dear, please dress me forever. I love you, Marilyn." Bill Travilla dresses were so groundbreaking and this one is a good example of that!  Beautifully cut to show off your curves!
